@Mawhen Youre better off something older. Since January of 2009 there have been several legislations passed reducing the wattage used which have reduced both the air output and lighting output. Federal law limits a ceiling fan to 190 total watts for the entire light fixture and candelabra and intermediate fixtures are only permitted. Inside any new fan there is a limiter. The only way to get full output out of that fan it to cut out that limiter and rewire the fan. This was all new to me until I picked up a Hunter fan a few days ago and was pissed about how slow and dim it was. Did a little research, rewired it and shes a purring now.
