$599+$5 is 'expensive' if you are looking for a computer which is good for light computing (e.g. web browsing, video chatting or document editing etc.). But if you are looking for a high-end computer, which has a 'Intel' Quad Core Processor and dedicated graphics chip; this particular deal is a good one.

GeForce GT525M is hardly "high end". With that GPU, the quad core CPU is a waste -- it won't help you run games much better. In fact it wont help with anything unless you run CPU-intensive tasks. Its fine for playing games at low settings and watching movies though. (Then again, there may be better options on the market depending what one is looking for in a laptop.) Also note that this is a refurb with 90 day warranty. For a refurb laptop this is not good news. Its also probably not very user friendly to changing and upgrading parts on your own, in case something gets broken.

I totally agree with you @unreal25. But when Dell/HP/Acer can sell a Intel i5 Processors (lesser speed) with 4 GB of RAM and Intel HD Graphics (far inferior compared to N GT525M) and DVD RWs for $599 and $699, this is much better that's what I meant. Hope I am able to explain better this time. And btw, the extra 9 months of warranty u get on a new laptop is just a basic warranty. One have to pay extra to get total coverage.
