Q: What's the deal???

I posted a coupon in the coupon section, and noticed later that there was someone who posted the same coupon in the COUPON SECTION & FREEBIE SECTION. When i flagged it and commented, I noticed later that my coupon had been deleted, and someone, "A MODERATOR" commented that all it said was "expires april 30",but when I clicked on the link the coupon came up, but they flagged it, and it was marked as EXPIRED?? I put the same coupon up and it still works. Sorry, editing because I worded some things wrong. wdjdac posted the same coupon in the freebie section, and the coupon section. I saw it first in the freebie so I went back to the coupon section to see if it was the same thing as mine, and saw the same coupon there as well. I have only been posting deals since february, so shouldn't the moderator just have told me  to put a better description in my coupon, instead of expiring it? This other person posted in 2 separate categories but didn't get theirs expired???

You have no links or anything for us to explain or help you with your issue. What store? Who posted what? What did you post? Can't help if you have nothing to show us.

oh, go to my saved coupons, and look under the expired Racetrac coupon. The moderator said, it just says expires April 30th, but when you click on the redeem button, the coupon still comes up. Shouldn't they just have told me to add a better description, instead of expiring it?

3 thumbs down? Did i say anything that sounded mean or something? I was being serious and really did want to help and answer your question. Damn Haters be hating on my rep=P

The reason why your coupon was invalid because since the end of 2011. All "PDF" files and URL's that link to PDF Coupons are restricted from the coupon section.
http://dealspl.us/answer/no_more_pdfs_printable_coupons/12569

dealspl.us members must either post printable coupons with valid url image links or using a screen capture software and uploading it to dealspl.us.

you can see screen capture software being discussed from the link above and

here:

i personally just use the snipping tool that comes with windows but of course as discussed, you have lots of options.

I hope i help solve your dilemma and know what to do in the future, when posting a coupon. unfortunately another user, did it the right way and got credit for it. take it as lesson learned.

Take care!

Well if they are going to be that picky, then they need to delete the other persons duplicate since they placed them in 2 sections. Just sayin whats good for the goose is good for the gander. This shouldn't be about favorites, but apparently it is!!

We allow posts to be in the coupon section and the deal section. We do not consider those duplicates at this time. We remove posts that are inaccurate or incomplete regardless of username.

Hope that clears some things up! Don't get discouraged, you're doing great for a new user!

@acarone, then please explain "No Cross posting" in the guidelines, because I took it as not posting the same deal in different sections so as not to cause unnecessary traffic, and in my view cheating, just my opinion though. Since I am new I think you as a moderator could have given me a chance to rectify my mistake in the coupon, not having a print sign on it, because that's the only difference in my coupon and the other person who posted the same coupon. But thank you for letting me know I'm doing a good job for a newbie, but this kind of stuff does upset me. A simple request to fix the problem should be made before expiring the deal, especially a coupon!

You can not edit coupons. I removed the coupon to give you a chance to post it again.
