Not true, TheDrizzle. You can upgrade from any install of XP. However, one you go to Vista, you can't go back to XP without doing a clean re-install (no back-up point restore).

Hay, thanks a lot ellis! Downloaded, burned to dvd, grabbed an old hd and stuck in my main computer then installed. Runs just fine. For TheDrizzle, it ask for product key but allows you to continue without one (You tell it which version of Vista you "bought"). If I understood all the fine print, this version will stop working on May 31, 2007.

I was reading that you need to have a key from a previous Beta of Vista to run. Is that true?

Hi everyone. Once you finish downloading Vista, instead of burning the ISO file to a DVD, you can use a program called DAEMON TOOLS. This will allow you to create a fake dVD drive on your computer where it will run the ISO file. Heres a link to where you can DL it. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_tools/daemon_tools.cfm">
