Here's my take on this whole thing. AT&T put the offer out there to someone who passed the coupon code along to someone else, etc., until dealspl.us found out about it. When dealspl.us announced the deal, the AT&T web servers were overloaded with orders from those if us who wanted to take advantage of it. The overloaded servers started kicking out errors and so we tried and tried again to submit an order that would actually take. However, even though we saw errors on the front end it's pretty obvious that the orders were successful on the back end. I ended up with seven successful orders myself even though I only saw one success message on the front end. AT&T goes in to investigate why their servers crapped out and they also see that they've gotten a huge number of orders for a single item. Some senior VP probably went nuts and the knee-jerk reaction was to cancel ALL of the orders and giving themselves even more bad press. What AT&T should have done was this, cancel all the orders except one for each person ordering. If the remaining order was for multiple adapters, modify the order to a single adapter. The fulfill the resulting orders along with an honest explanation of what happened. That way, everyone who ordered at least gets one free adapter. Then they should address their "internal process problem" to avoid this in the future.

It did, until ATT sent me an email 2 days later telling me my order was canceled, with a link to order again at full price, since the offer is expired.

Just got an email from ATT that my order has been canceled, please order again. The offer is expired and I think this is the only way ATT can get anyone to buy their merchandise. Scam into a freebie then cancel the order and ask them to buy it.. NA! I won't ever use ATT especially after this bull crap!

I too got the cancellation emails after I had gotten confirmation emails. I had tried several times to order but had gotten an error every time so I was surprised to get a confirmation email at all. In total, I got seven confirmation emails but only six cancellations so hopefully one of them got through OK.

I thought I had completed the order, then got a page which asked me to confirm. It died due to "to much traffic on server' When I reloaded the page, it did not take my order, saying that you need a phone line with service to get the deal. I did just get an email saying that my order was confirmed... I am guessing they will all be cancelled :-(
