this is a great monitor, i bought it from costco about 3 months ago, it has been great so far, works great, no dead pixels, and i play rpgs on it, works out great.

Damn. I just paid about $28 dollars more for the I-Inc with a shorter warranty. I'll still get that earlier since it won't have to ship from California, but it's still annoying. If this is still around and/or if I have to return the other one for some reason...

Regarding this monitor vs. 32" TVs at around the same price... First, all the 32" TVs I've seen around this price have been brands that I would consider fairly high risk. Secondly, this is a 1920x1200; those are 1024x768. BIG difference. Third, this is not a TV, in that it has no tuner. That said, you can attach it to a computer with a tuner card and you will have a PVR and a TV. Not only that, but if the tuner breaks, you can just buy another, instead of having a big repair bill for your TV. Note that if you *do* use this as a small TV, it will not be 28", because TVs use 1920x1080 and this is 1920x1200 -- 120 vertical pixels (10%) are not used. So the diagonal will be slightly less, say 27".

Exactly right, those are all great points and its all about the pixels.

This is a great monitor so far! Very bright and crisp. I got one from Amazon.com at a MUCH higher price of US$450. I couldn't wait, though – that's the time-money tradeoff for ya. ;)

What's kinda funny is that 32' TV's usually go for around the same price. So either you're getting a small TV or a HUGE monitor for the same amount.

This hardly seems like any deal worth even looking at. 28" LCD Monitors are littered throughout the internet and electronic stores for far less than this asking price. Boo!
