The Most Popular and/or Best Selling . . . .

50
After reading an article in Mental Floss magazine about Chanel #5 being the most popular women's fragrance in the world (it has been on the market for almost 90 years) I thought it might be fun to gather up a few more "most populars" and report them to you here in the form of a DP Page.  This page took a bit more time to put together than most that I've written because I wanted to include each source and every entry had a different source (except baby names).

A lot of these categories don't or can't have a definitive "winner" as there is a fair bit of subjectivity involved.  I tried to pick sites that were more likely than others to have done a pretty good job collecting and analyzing data.  But, I would not be surprised if some of you find contrary data and that is okay.  This is mostly to amuse all of us and is not going to be submitted to a peer-reviewed journal (Thank,  God).

I am keeping this to the best selling and/or most popular in the United States and for the year 2012 - the year isn't over yet but we have a good six months under our belts. Most of these are best selling as most popular is very subjective and hard to nail down. Okay, enough fine print - let's get going.
