No, you cannot. I have an earlier version of this product that DOES allow for USB, SD card, or wired mp3 player, and I NEVER use it with anything other than USB or SD cards (it works quite well, by the way), so for me this is a perfect (and less expensive) way to listen to my tunes in the car...

Oh ... I forgot to mention: The way this works is you copy your .mp3 music either to a USB stick or an SD card, and this unit directly plays the music off the memory and transmits it to your car stereo. In my experience, the units work quite well. I've used mine both in my car as well as on my motorcycle with great results! Quality is typically similar to a typical FM radio station, since it IS transmitting your music to a blank spot on the FM dial...
