I had this laptop. Just when they came out I got one at Best Buy. With dual core processor. Overall it was a great small laptop. What I did not like is that it was very heavy for its size, very thick, processor was not as quick as I hoped it would be. Screen is just like a mirror - was hard to use outside. And the price was $799. So I used it for few weeks and returned it. Now they come with Intel I7 processor, 8 GB ram and I hope video card is better too. But the cost is over $1K. If you have extra $$ to spend get it with I7 processor. Then it will be totally worth it. But for $500 plus you can find much better / faster machine, and it will be new.

I agree with your post but you can't get a better looking machine for this price. You can definitely attract a lot of people around you with this notebook.

Very interesting... I never though about buying computer because it looks good. I always checked for specs first.

Really? Well it really depends if you're a techie or not. Some people buy a computer for it looks, some people buy it for the specs and some people consider both. I think this laptop serves well surfing the web and moderate gaming like SC2 and WOW etc. I'm pretty sure if I OC this, add a 4GB-8GB of ram, and a SSD drive it'll be good enough to do almost anything.

Yea, thats what I said. If you get 8 GB ram, better processor and SSD it will be much better. But price is not going to be $500. The decent SSD (you need at least 128GB) is approx. $175 (150 if you're lucky). Then 8 GB memory will be fortune (at least for now). So you're looking at over $1K (just like I mentioned above). For this money you can get brand new Asus gaming laptop with 2 years warranty and other cool stuff.

Never buy anything directly from Dell. I always go after market stuff because its better and faster. Just like the SSDs they offer on Dell, they are overpriced crappy Samsung SSD. 8GB RAM now cost about $60, 120GB SSD should be about $180ish depending on the brand/model. Summing it up to about $720 w/ the video card this thing has. I think its all about preference, for you this laptop is too heavy and thick but to others it may be just perfect.
