I think this is not quite deal, especially being external hard drive makes it normal priced item. If it had been portable, I would have still not been good deal, because 1 TB portable one is even below $100.

Perfect Christmas present for my flatmate. Now he can store his music and school files and not worry if his laptop crashes again. Nice deal for $20. Sure, not a 500 GB or 1 TB, but it's USB powered, portable and has "enough" capacity.

This is a good deal because it's basically a big ass flash drive. unlike bigger externals, this one requires no power power supply.

But it's not a Flash drive, it is a standard drive with moving parts, keep that in mind...

That's pretty cheap, if you want a travel hard-drive, or you have a small amount of data to pack this is a pretty safe bet. Sure you might not want to back up everything you own on one of these, but in a pinch this would be hard to pass up.

great deal (in 2007) , but now its a waste of money , when u can get a 1.5 tb for $79

ciphun Sep 14, 2010
oh please post where there is an external, no power supply needed, 1.5 tb for 79 bucks. I'm not trying to sound like a jerk, but I would love to get my hands on that kind of deal... maybe I am wrong.

great, but that's a DESKTOP hard drive. which requires an external power source. meaning it needs to always be plugged in. This drive is 120gb for 25 bucks with only the use of a usb cord for connection and power supply. I just don't want to have to plug the hard drive into a wall to use it. From the site you provided: Power Requirements AC: 100-240VAC, 50-60Hz

But, I will say, for an external hard drive, nonetheless, that is a good deal, just not what I am looking for. Thanks!

Great deal! The 80gb and 120gb are getting pretty hard to find since nowadays everything comes with like 250GB+.
