My ex and I bought a Toyota back in '89. It was a good car that ran for a long time with very few problems. I bought a Tundra in '09 and have had nothing but problems with it. Fuel guage stopped reading below 1/4 tank. Found that one out the hard way. A/C blower motor quit. Twice and the 3rd one makes some funky noises sometimes. Radio died. Everyt one of the 4 power door lock actuators have quit working one at a time. So, 8 electrical components on this POS have dies in the 3 1/2 years that I've had it. I quit buying Chevy because the trannies would drop out from under them around 40k miles, or the engines would start smoking and missing around the same time. Or just rattle apart. I'm not sure you can buy a quality car anymore. *End morning rant*
