*disappointed* I received the canceled email but still those that were duped can take ACTION! File a complaint with customer service and report them to the BBB-better business bureau.

I gave customer service until the 10th to respond to my email and if they don't BBB is where it's at. We'll see how this fairs out.

Thanks Eve! I was pretty disappointed after the cancellations. I knew that it might be too good to be true, but still, it got my hopes REALLY high up. After falling smack down on my face, I feel that I should have received a better response than a three sentence 'apology'. If they did this on purpose to get people to visit their site, I am severely disappointed. I have wanted an HDTV SO BAD for the longest time and this was my one chance I thought. Oh well, it was worth a try.

Grocery stores/Target/Kmart/etc have to do this type of thing all the time because of a misprint in a sales ad. Basically mistakes happen... Its wonderful when the seller lives up to it but get real, an error of this magnitude? Were talking about $600 off.

This best sums up the whole thing "Oh well, it was worth a try.". You just never know! Personally I think they could have randomly selected one customer to buy it at that price would have been a nice way to deal with the mistake but oh well.

Yea I agree. It wouldn't hurt them to have a random drawing for a couple. It might even bring customers in because of the way they could handle it.

So maybe I'm not the first one to think of it - but this seems to be a great new advertising model. Price a hot product at an unbelievable discount, wait for the community deal sites (like DealsPlus) to pick up the "story", and then sit back as thousands of people flock to your site - all without spending $0.01 on advertising.

Ok, so you piss a few people off because the "too good to be true" price really was just that...but I'm sure it's not enough to scare everyone away from doing business from them in the future.

i think not honoring a posted price (even if it is too good to be true) makes people nervous about what their customer service is like...I found it interesting that if you look in their customer care...legal information, they say 'all prices are subject to final approval at the time of order fulfillment' so maybe this is common practice for them...so I'm pretty turned off them since they can change anything anytime...
(although I will admit I would have never heard of them if this did not happen)

Chicken was right. Too good to be true. Kind of a bummer, but I pretty much expected it.
