I go through a lot of these kinds of headlamps in my work. The last one I had didn't last even one whole year, so I'm trying this new one!
It came with the required 3 AAA batteries, which was really nice. Very easy to replace the batteries.
This headlamp looks a little sturdier than my last one, with buttons that are easier to reach on the front of the lamp.
One button controls the main very bright white light. By pressing the button repeatedly, the lights settings cycle through Bright, dim, and Bright flashing (this is a way to call for help if you are stranded somewhere), then back to bright. Caution to those who are sensitive to bright blinking lights - Do not look right into the light!
The other button controls the red light feature, which is quite subtle but great if you want to preserve your low-light vision around camp (or in a dark studio, how I often use it).
