Fixed Gear is not the same as Single Speed. Just as Children's and BMX bikes are often Single Speed, they are not Fixies. These Thrusters are typically assembled by store employees with the chain on the freewheel side of the hub. If you test one in the store it will most likely be set up as a single speed bike. The rear wheel would need to be reversed for it to be a true fixie. These CAN BE set up as a Fixie, but often are not.I should have been more specific in my original post.
