When I was in the Air Force, these things were a problem. They would eat the tires and rubber on the wires of the planes.

I read these traps may do more harm than good by attracting more beetles to your yard. Just make sure they are farther away from the plants/trees you want to protect.

FibroMom!! This dang things ruined our plum tree and are making it almost impossible for our hydrangeas and apple trees to grow. I have not been able to figure out what they were and they come down in hoards so it is impossible to get them all.

I'm so glad we don't have these bugs! An ingenious kid could make a profit here...we used to get a penny a piece if we removed the nasty critters from the neighbors roses;) I think parents had great ideas on how to keep kids busy back then!
