Before you post a deal/offer/article it is always a good idea to search before you post it. What do I mean search for it? Well here at Dealsplus we have this helpful tool called the search bar. Try searching by name of product, part of the name, sometimes you can find it by store or category in the search feature. My point is searching may take a few extra steps but in the end will help avoid duplicates as the submit system does not always pick up already posted deals.

Specifically I will address the issues I have seen on Aldi.com I have been posting Aldi offers and deals for several years now. Recently, Aldi deals posted may change links when the new ad comes out so the system is not picking up the deal. To avoid posting duplicates search the product name to see if it is posted. If anyone has encountered similar issues with specific websites please post it here so everyone can be aware of it.

Thank you themoneyman1113,

Yes, a bit more effort, but it will help avoid duplicates > mutual benefit among MMs & DP users > growth of the DP community.

Let's work together!

Notbad- I agree. I just don't think many people care to help anyone except for them self. Not sure how DP will grow as a community with that type of selfish and self serving attitude. JMO

I do search before posting deal but when i don't remember to search before posting a deal and still post the deal I then search to see if i have duplicated anyone and if I did I expired my deal or if the existing deal needs to be updated then I still bury my deal and update the existing deal. 😊. Good point @themoneyman1113 👍👌. Let's make Dealsplus a great community

@stewartcherek To be honest I don't search every single time I post a deal, but 8 times out if 10 I do and if I dupe (which is rare) and someone let's me know I promptly expire me deal. Also when I know a deal is popular for example an offer we ALL get in our emails or we ALL see on social media I 100% search and search again after I post just to make sure I did not dup as I know I am not the only person here who shares deals. When I see 3 or 4 offers of the same -for example- free bag of chips w/ purchase it really makes the site look bad and cluttered. Also anyone who is a MM should be concerned as those 2,3,or 5 dups get clicked and you as the original poster will lose credit those clicks to people who simply don't care about DP, just those few pennies they make and that is sad. I guess I have been here so long, I just see things differently as in 2007 when I became a DP member you shared deals for free, no compensation. Things back then were community based. Everyone cheered you on and applauded great deals. I don't recall dups being a huge issue . Today, people just don't care and post whatever in hopes of taking advantage of the loopholes and gray areas that the rules don't cover completely. Sad as it only hurts this site and us.

So thank you for searching stewartcherek it really does not take much time, does it?

On a happier note. Winter is almost over, even though it has been mild for New England standards, I am ready for warmth and sun!🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞

@stewartcherek I hope you are running to an Aldi to check out all the great deals they have :--)

Seriously though I do love Aldi. I think it is pretty important to post deals which are of good value but sometimes price is just a small amount of my decision personally, I may just find a product, do some research and buy it. Aldi has a pretty decent return policy so shopping at Aldi is pretty easy even if you unsure of a product. I recently bought a make at home cold brew kit and it is delicious. I then bought a $20 bug zapper for outside and so far so good.

So posting products you love or have interest in never fails. I like Aldi and that's why I post deals from there. That is why I joined this site many years ago as most deals submitted were high quality offers with personal reasons why it was submitted, today that is not the case for most DP users offers are submitted for a few cents with no regard to the value.

That is just my opinion.
