i wasn't disappointed, but i guess i was hoping for a bit more. in the end, though..still a great phone. i like the fact that they didn't make the width bigger..they're right..you want the phone to be comfy in the hand. i've held other phones..androids, samsung, etc..and man..it's just too big for my taste..it doesn't feel smooth in my pocket. pros and cons to all phones..i still think it's a good new phone to enter the market.

@nimrodboy, I always thought the same too; that 4.5"+ screen are just way to big for a phone. But then I got one, and I have to say it grows on you really fast. I also have larger hands, but it really wasn't hard to get used to. The bigger screen makes email and web much more usable imo.
It is seriously impressive to me just how far behind Apple seems to be in the phone races. Most all of the "new" features of the iPhone 5 were in the Galaxy S1 (4G, 4" screen, weight/size).

Just a note regarding the screen size of the iPhone 5:
I think it's not only to maintain the ease of use with one hand, but to also account for a perfect 1080 resolution (for shooting and playing back videos). Anymore or any less would probably give it some letter boxing.
