Thumbs up! This is getting ridiculous. My next set of days off in every minute of free time I have when the kids are in bed and such I am going to start submitting every single item in the entire Target online store. WHy not right?
Acidbaby, I haven't posted many deals in the past year because folks sit on their computers all day and eventually have all of the part numbers from Amazon, Target, NewEgg, etc. covered. So, the best I can do is update a deal that was posted maybe a year or two ago. DP could start with ending the exclusivity of a deal. I could see keeping a deal for 30 days or so but not for years.

I wonder if it's simply alright to flag it. I often find things that are just a regular priced item, I think I'll mark it as 'inaccurate' or 'no value'.
I've browsed through the deals posted in the past 24 hours and flagged a few, I don't think it'll remove or stop those particular deals either. Here's one regular priced item, probably gonna get a thumbs down for this too...
A few months ago. Well maybe even about a year ago. I believe it was Acarone made a post in here about submitting deals. One of the points was to say blatantly copying deals from other sites word for word was forbidden. Nothing ever came out of it even a day later the same thing was still going on. I dont even care about taking deals from elsewhere. I do the same if its an awesome deal but some of these people take the deal, copy whatever is written on those other sites and simply post it word for word here without any regard if it is even a good deal or not because they are in a hurry to post it before someone else who sits on another site does all day long does the same. You can see by my submissions its been awhile for me. Years since I have really been active posting deals. I only submit them now if there is something really amazing that hasnt been posted yet.
@Acidbaby Anytime I find an item worth posting it, just like erick99 said, is already there and posted months/years ago. Sure I could go type in a random word in to amazon and post each item on the page, but I'd get in trouble for it. Virtually everything on amazon is on sale! As for seeing postings from other deals sites, I've watched 1 thing get posted on slickdeals and two minutes later I see it here on DP. I spent a good morning watching this happen out of sheer entertainment value :-P
Oh I know exactly what youre talking about. I remember when I was active. You saw a deal and the first thing you did was price compare it on froogle or somewhere. Same thing I do now for anything im going to buy. Now with MM its all about posting as fast as you can whether or not there is a better price out there.
@cid681 this is because that member is also a member of slickdeals and postes the deals on both sites

@xptrish Here's what I noticed of one certain poster, we'll call them X. X posts on slickdeals and DP under the name X. This same X posted 2 minutes after someone named Y. So unless this person has multiple accounts on slickdeals and posting under each of them, then it's a different person.
I totally agree. Some people think any price that isn't retail is a deal and worth posting.

I'm in agreement. I spend a lot of time hunting for good deals. I even go through the entire process as though I am going to buy it just to make sure it works. But there are so many "deals" that are nothing but a "hurry up" post so they can get credit before anyone else does. I'm not making any money off my posts...I do it for fun and to share my findings with others.

The person that posts coupon deals on here all the time now copies and pastes from KrazyCouponLady... maybe they should send out emails with short memos, I know I usually skip the looooong emails until I can read them fully and I wouldn't be surprised if most people don't get to them at all.

I do think it would be helpful if there was a lifetime to the deal at the database level. If it is more than X days, regardless of live or not, it gets expired. Otherwise you have someone "homesteading" the links and benefitting forever (essentially).
