How come almost everything on the frontpage today is a coupon for a store or a store sale? 
There are only 4 specific items.

Most likely cuz of the holiday and most stores are having store-wide sales & coupons.
I thought your question was going to ask why so many deals are dated 2011...hmmm...that confuses me;)
