Dealsplus or NewsPlus?

Today we had nice discussion, a guy APHughes, asked me Dealsplus or NewsPlus? when i posted a news.

I replied him" There is no deal without news, and no news without deals"

Do you guys agree my quotation? One of your active member YesBoss was agreed with me.

I have been asked many times about this question. Mostly new or noob or someone who I don't know.

What do you guys think about it?

Whatever. Live and let live.

I don't really care, apparently some people do. I figure the whole point of a user moderated site is that the majority will determine what they want to see here.

Any deal is something that is new to the rest of us (or most of us) and the whole idea is to bring a deal that is "news" to most folks.

Someone told me the same thing when I posted a news article, and that it wasn't a DEAL so why did I post it, it was from someone that I had never heard of before.

I think there is a fine line on what is apporpriate to be posted as a deal and what shouldnt. Its either a product or related to a product such as store closings, new pricing structures. Everything else like the news that has been recently posted as a deal such as about cats, a skydiving grandma? IMO that shouldnt be permitted. Its just as easy to post a link to it here where it should belong for discussion. Not on the main portion of the site relating to deals.
