Good food for thought. I actually complained to one site. I used to get their daily sales around 10 PM to midnight. Now they come so late in the afternoon I rarely open them. I may try signing up with another email account and compare delivery time.
Do you suppose emails go out alphabetically? Possibly depending on recipients name? Or the batches to Gmail before Yahoo?

The emails are usually staggered by the program emailing them out. They can only handle sending out so many emails at a time due. Think about big companies. They may have millions of email addresses.
I don't think your email program (gmail, yahoo, etc) will make a difference. If it doesn't it's probably only by a few minutes.
