That's a really good idea. I bet there are many store employees and managers that aren't 100% sure about their own stores policies.
And if all else fails, be sure you contact the corporate location to file a complaint. Be sure you include the store number, transaction number, and date and time when you contact the corporate office.

I only once ran into a nincompoop cashier & manager at a grocery store that insisted that I couldn't use a manufacturer's coupon along with a rain check, despite the fact that I'd always done it there. I asked them if the item were in stock when it was on sale I could use the coupon, so why not with a rain check? Then the manager went so far as to say that coupons couldn't be used on sale items, which is complete BS!
But after that day I never had any problem at the same store. Maybe they realized how absurd their position was, but just didn't want to admit it to my face.

Why assume that a prepared couponer is an "Extreme Couponer"? I have said it before and will say it again--the shows reflect the minority that have spent an extra long time, even to their own standards, preparing shopping trips. Extreme Couponers are not normal couponers!
I keep store coupon policies because the extra $2-10 off per visit adds up for me, thanks for the links Linda!

This happens to me when I use a coupon that takes off more then the item is. They almost always say that its not allowed because they are clueless and its easier for them to say no. I usually have the printed policy and have to get the manager involved. It happened to me at target once and the manager didnt even know how to price adjust so the coupon would work and so I called guest relations and they informed him how to enter it so it would go through. I know he and the associate felt stupid.
