Duplicates or similar posts have been a problem here and Dealsplus has tried control it with a set of rules, but people find ways to get around it. It is pretty sad when people have to work around rules created to make a few cents and then make up excuses why they did it. In the end whomever post a deal should get credit. Whomever finds an update or additional information to make that deal better should get credit as well. Anyone else should find the other 1 million deals waiting to be found on the internet. In terms we all understand here (Money) if someone post a deal like yours or a duplicate of your deal then they stole money from you. Then they get mad or see what you did and repeat it and so on and so fourth. At some point everyone thinks it is ok to do what was done to them. So why not respect the time and effort of everyone and not duplicate a deal. Why not look before posting & then look again as it is probably there. I have been cheated out of so many deals here it is not funny. This behavior has to stop.

While I am airing my grievances. It is not just duplicates that are a problem. I find every time I post a deal I have to worry about someone editing it for a random reason or my older deals getting an "edit" which did not make the deal better and then get approved for a deal update . I could go on with some of the issues I have encountered over the years, but I won't it doesn't change the past, but I do hope we can change the future at Dealsplus by respecting each other and the site.

Having been DP contributors since 2/07, I consider "themoneyman" to be the Yoda and branie the Yaddle of all things DP! Hey, you two! Well said.

Updates should be done to make the deal better and according to the rules set fourth here, not for you to make money or harass the OP . If you have to pay for the discount program like Bed Bath Beyond or the deal is not available to you unless you use your credit card then maybe it is not the best deal update to perform as not EVERYONE may be able to get it at the price you updated it. I can see maybe making note of it, but performing a deal update to get credit for for it is just embarrassing to this site. Just my thoughts and what I have been experiencing lately here at DP.
