employer identification number?!

anyone who has filled out a W-9 form help me out with this. What is the employer identification number, and where do you get it? plussing anyone who helps me out :)

I think the employer is the one who is responsible for filling that part out

You leave out the employer identification number. Just fill out your social security number. That will enable them to pay you. You only fill out the employer identification number if you are a business.

Congrats, iowahawkeyes! I really expected it to take a month to process the form but they had my MM payment by the next payment cycle when I submitted it, hopefully this time of year doesn't bog them down too much for you.
