good old jack is always nice. I always drink mine with vanilla coke not normal coke.

I drink mine straight. Diluted only with ice. Some people say that there is a perfect temperature, being around 50 degrees and undilluted. The only way to get there is to use the whiskey stones. I've never tried them. That mainly applies to American whiskeys. I've not had much Scotch.

Fireball whiskey is pretty good, taste like cinamon. It's a must try.

Go to a whiskey bar, if you have any near you. There's one by me and the bartenders have an endless amount of whiskey knowledge and tons to try. Then if you find ones you like, you can go to the store and buy them.

Do whiskey bars have small tiny sample for you to try? I got samples of alcohol in Colorado, but back here in California they look at me like I'm bonkers.

haha you cannot try anything for free in Los Angeles. @cod681 I can imagine the face they give you when you ask. The Macallan I got was an 18 year and it is considered top shelf - $150 a bottle... most bars in LA don't carry high end whiskey, especially those stupid dive or hipster or Hollywood places. @Nvaldera, will look into it.
I drank some more with whiskey stones of the Macallan, it is quite amazing. I am very impressed.

what exactly are "whiskey stones" and what purpose do they serve? I've never heard of them, kidney stones, which may be a result of too much whiskey,ha ha but never heard of whiskey stones.
