As I have experienced, mostly the deals are Hand-Picked when there are a sufficient number of organic likes. This shows that users are taking an interest in the deal. Then only they are reflected in the Hand-picked section. My comment is entirely based on my experience, and I may be wrong.

I recently got one of my deals Hand-Picked for the first time and I think that's because admins/moderators thought it was a good deal. I'm really happy about this and will keep posting similar good deals in the future too. Anyway it would be great if someone can explain what qualifies as a Hand-Picked deal. Thanks! Cheers :)

Deals under Hand-Picked are based on DP community's reaction: views, clicks, votes, and share + history from the previous deal (same or similar). Admins/Mods are doing our best to be fair to every Money Makers.

@Heathery It shows up in the Hand Picked section on Dealsplus homepage. It will get more likes and views than usual so you will notice from that too!
@tastytreats It really depends on the number of views it gets. The payment is as same as for an original or an updated deal.
