iowahawkeyes, that is part of what makes it so hard to shop around! You have to know what a good "buy price" is because retail is so screwy. Like in my case, I recently started paying close attention to what a good buy price is for different types of produce and I realized that the featured sale prices in the two major grocery stores around here are consistently higher than the regular price at Aldi's!

They are useing the MFG Suggested Retail Price(MSRP), With the exception of Canada as far as I know which requires one to be sold at that price before the lower price can be declared a sale price, we don't require it. So it is perfectly legal to use the MSRP when posting items for sale. It is usually the price charged for top end retailers. By the time it comes down to us it is not quite a true reflection of the price.
