How many front page deals have you bought in the last month and how many other non-front page deals have you bought?

6 0
I was wondering how many times a active deals buyer on this site buys something off the front page vs non-front paged items? This month, I bought one item off the front page and about 9 non-front paged items. The answer should give new users a idea of where they should search for good deals. I know when I first sarted on this site, i thought the front page was all deals. About 2-3 months later i found out that those are only the deals labeled as front page worthy and if you wanted to see all deals all the time, you needed to check the fresh deals constantly. Just my opinion. anyone else?

People should look beyond the front page for deals. Many good deals get over looked and never make it to the front.

Many, many, many, but thats subjective ;). But thats what I mean. When I first got here, I didn't notice that. I probably should have.

My impulse side has been guilty of the Front Page disease many times. However, the smarter side of me has found the best deals in doing a little research. That's when I've saved the most bucks.

Good point. I'd say I've purchased more off other pages than the front page. There are often deals that hit the front page that aren't great deals, and those that don't hit the front page that are great deals.

I agree with what you're saying. New members should search beyond the front page for sure.

Well, naturally people will find more deals in the fresh pages... Think of the odds.
What bugs me are the people who don't believe in giving other peoples deals a plus. (Very easy to find out since deals plussed & deals posted are caregorized on everyone's profiles) the only way to get the good deals to the front page is for everyone to PLUS the good ones. Regardless if you posted it or not.

Once you eliminate a small percentage of outstanding deals on the front page, I don't think there's any correlation between the quality of a deal and whether it makes the front page or not. I think the most efficient way to find the best deals in the least time is to search only the categories of interest to you.

Wonder why the mediocre deals are getting front paged?

The Dealsplus mods are bumping the same peoples deals.
