Hurricane Sandy

21 0
I live in Frederick County, MD which is just about exactly where Sandy is going to spin for about a day or so.  We are expecting 10" or more of rain and wind gusts of 70mph or greater.  I am a huge fan of active weather and I will be out in the worst of it taking pics.  So long as the mods don't object I will make a Page out of them.

Who else is being affected by Sandy and to what degree? How much rain are you expecting as well as sustained winds and wind gusts?

erick99 stay safe, I am in NJ and just north of the projected path of the eye. We are expected to get 80mph+ winds and 8+ inches of rain. Read the warnings on the last post from the national weather service.

That would be cool to see those pictures, but I hope you all don't lose power and Internet access.

Post some photos for us! I'm also a photographer.
Lucky for us, FL did only manage to get one day of some heavy winds and a lot of rain, but no major damage. Just some much cooler temperatures these last couple of days.

In NY here, as of 3:20 pm we have wind gusts, limbs down and getting rain squalls. Power went off briefly but back on now,for how long is anyone's guess. We have our generator ready, non perishables, water and a heat source if needed.
Was scheduled to work but thankfully got a call that they were canceling.
Worked 19 hours yesterday, literally! Went in at 9:00 am Sunday morning and didn't get done until 4:15 am Monday !
Prayers to all affected, stay safe my friends.

Be careful taking those pictures, not worth getting hurt over!

I live in south central Kentucky, and we can see the cloud band from our porch. It's extremely windy and cold, and has been raining off and on for a couple of days. Mostly just wind, expected to be up to 50mph tonight.

Everyone stay as safe as possible!
