I can't expire my duplicate post

When notified of a duplicate post, I try to expire it but it doesn't work...

I believe that in dupes the flag! -> duplicate function should be used. Expired is like updating and that may be slower based on a moderator that would need to respond to it to update. Expired makes more sense to be used when the post/deal/coupon is past it's stated expire date and didn't have the original poster include that in the posting.

Feel free to just flag the deal. There is no need to expire. But you can use the edit link to expire the post if you like.

Acarone - I used the edit function and chose expired, but it wouldn't expire the post. I feel bad because I told the original poster that I would expire my post :(
