$1000 is livable, but maybe not comfortable. I would love to quit my job and do nothing all day too!! Im a tech at a large hospital. This job makes me love people but hate people too. I guess any job where you work around tons of sometimes obnoxious people, makes you want to quit it! But then again, I love making people ( the nice patients) smile and love making people feel cared for! I'd love to quit and stay at home all day.. I'd find plenty of things to do!! :)

Field Service Supervisor in well control for a large oilfield service company in the natural gas exploration market. Basically i make sure what is in the well stays in the well when it is in the fracturing and perforating process. I cant say I love it. I work a 30 day on 10 day off schedule and usually living in a hotel somewhere in PA, OH, WV or NY. It definately plays the bills but gets pretty boring at times. Plus it isnt always fun working for large petroleum companies.

I am sorry you hate your job. We spend so many hours at work. I love what I do and would do it for free it I were wealthy. It doesn't pay great but I love going to work. I couldn't stay home and doing nothing, I would go nuts. Day trading is very, very hard to pull off and you need some serious money to get started.

If you have a large amount of money, say about $100k or so, just buy some really good monthly dividend paying stocks and live off the dividends. ARR, PHK are some examples. I have about $35k in a an IRA that gives me about $400 a month in just dividends from those stocks.

You are not alone. I hate my job too. Sounds like you are single and if so you should start looking for something else to do. I am a single mom and I can't afford to quit my job. But I am looking into new career options. I don't care if I have to take a pay cut. I just need to make enough money to cover my bills. You can make a change in your life. If you are fearless enough to surf the waves, you can find a new job.

I have a college degree and am not able to find/get a job. Places say I need experience or references (from where idk). So I'm here trying my best to do what I can to make a enough to just get by but it's not easy. So before you start hating your job too much consider how much someone else would love it.
