agree w/ Fibromom. Personally, I prefer PC but I know there are many people out there who swear by MAC for everything. If you are an artist, architect, etc..Mac is probably for you. Overall, I think depends on what you are more comfortable with or have used most in the past.

It depends if money is in the equation or not. I think it also have to do with "social status". I have both a PC and a Mac and they are both good for its own way. I personally think Mac is easier to use overall, customer service is outstanding. If you have a problem with your Mac you could always go to the genius bar in the Apple store and they'll take care of everything for you as opposed to PC, how you have to ship the damn thing to their service location and get it serviced. Oh yeah, don't forget the resell value to macs.
PC's are bad either, for the money wise, you could probably get 2 PCs of the same specs vs 1 Mac. I build/mod my desktop so its pretty cool to overclock it to the max.

PC vs MAC is like name brand vs store brand, and that is literally why Macs have a higher resale value.
If you want to swap to Mac from PC, you have to rebuy all your programs. If you install a good solid Linux client, you can do everything with open source software and pay little to nothing for most of your software, including a complete office suite that does everything Office does and photo editing software and more.
