News: Walmart walkout on BlackFriday in FL

Workers in a Walmart here in Fl, are not happy with their wages and way they have been treated.

They plan on holding a protest on the biggest shopping day of the year; Black Friday after Thanksgiving.

Is it right for workers to protest on the busiest day of the year?

Walmart is TOO Big to let something like a walk-out happen - they have the most looked and anticipated Black Friday ad out there - sounds to me like a lot of people will be replaced!

I think most folks are having a tough time these days and would feel supportive of the workers. I'm not sure if there is a right or wrong for walking out on Black Friday. I doubt Walmart lets it get that far, though.

Clearly they don't realize how high the unemployment rate is. My guess is there are plenty of other people in Florida that would gladly take their jobs.

Walmart gets a bad rap, but they are one of the millions of employers paying minimum wage. If it's really too low, then it's our government's job to increase the wages.

I fully support them voicing their opinion; however, doing it on Black Friday is not going to help their cause. If anything, I think it will piss Walmart off and they will hire replacement employees.
