Any ideas? Baking powder helps somewhat...
And I keep things sealed most of the time. Foil or plastic bowls/ snap covers- which are better to keep things fresher?

Baking powder really does do good work.
Every so often, empty your fridge and scrub everything, it's the only way to get some spots. Freezer too!
Before your big grocery trip for the week, check use by dates - you'll throw out stuff that's expired or expiring, and know what you need to replace when you make your trip!
When using saran wrap, when in doubt, wrap again from a different angle.

Why is your fridge smelly, MdavidK30? Lol. Just throw out stuff that's not good anymore. (:

baking powder does absolutely nothing. Try baking soda.

maybe is that the refrigerator is not cooling properly if the food is getting smelly

RD995-- I think that is the problem... I will try the baking soda. Thanks Acidbaby... Maybe the food isn't properly closed or stored well- I had gone to Walmart to purchase some foodstorage products, we'll see what happens after that.
PS it is a brand new fridge.
