I see a lot of white, empty spaces> I would like to see all the available spaces filled up with deals. [Maybe, in order to save more space, a lot of the store names listed under popular stores on the right could be put in the header? Or, a drop-down menu when you hover over popular stores.]
I did like the picture boxes you had in the feed, and probably some other aspects of that version. I don't recall exactly what that version was like, but I think visually and in terms of layout, some of it was a better use of all the available space.
I really like those boxes or text that open up when you hover over something. I would like to see my alerts pop up when I'm on the website. or maybe better, a page/tab on the site where I can go to see all my deal alerts that come in the email, so that I can have an easier and quicker way to look at those. Ideally in a layout like in the feed. I'm always behind in my email, and usually don't have time to open up all that mail.
Also, it would be nice if we could change username, for those of us who were not thinking much when we joined. Thanks.

I always liked it when we could read the comments from anyone as they were posted. The comment feature provides valuable feedback to the buyer.

There are 2 sub-categories I'd like to see when posting & searching deals & coupons.
1.Patio, Lawn & Garden - Reason why: Is a Solar Light "Decor" or "Appliance"? Is a Grill "Kitchen" or "Appliance"? Are Garden Gloves a "Tool" or " Clothing Accessory"?
2.Arts, Crafts & Sewing - Reason Why: Is a Sewing Machine a "Home Appliance" or "Fun stuff"? Are Artist/Crafter Supplies "Office" or "Fun Stuff" or "Clothing" or "Toys"?

How about removing dead or expired deals. there is no need to waste time checking out a deal to find out it isn't.
g688923rmqkr (L0) posted Jan 15, 2014
Sometimes there will be a clothing sale for a store like Nike or JCPenney that is for men, women, children, and shoes. It'd be nice to add it to all of those categories under clothing instead of choosing one or just adding it under general clothing. That way, if someone is searching a certain category, they will see it.
Also, LOVE that a lot of old features are back!!!!
VirginiaPeanuts (L5) posted Jan 16, 2014
I would like to see the deal categories reorganized from the ground up. Technology has advanced to a point where many of the categories overlap, and many products cover fit in to multiple categories.
zacharyzblewski (L4) posted Jan 17, 2014
It would be grand to see this image or a similar one slapped onto such posts after MODs validate them.
shimisi (L5) posted Jan 17, 2014
It will be nice to receive notifications of new posts on ask & share questions in which you commented on..same notifications we receive when someone comments on our deals. Sometimes I even forget where I commented and would not know if someone added something or replied to the same ask&share :)

@dddsss totally agree: "or maybe better, a page/tab on the site where I can go to see all my deal alerts that come in the email, so that I can have an easier and quicker way to look at those"

I would also like to see categories updated to include arts/crafts/hobbies.
Notification alert on comments made in the coupon section. Unless we go back to a particular coupon for whatever reason, there is no way of knowing a comment was made on it.
In the money makers section I'd like to see a search feature so we can quickly locate a coupon or deal made previously and I'd also like to see a reference to what was removed when it is removed. For instance: a 30% off kohl's coupon is put up and this is going to appear in the money makers list and will be removed by mods. when it is removed it just says removed and a number is next to it. Instead of the number that makes no sense to me, it would be nice to have it say: removed (kohl's 30%) or something to that effect.

Another one : I would like to see which mod is online tab (or something like that) , so that if any troubleshoot comes out, we can PM the MOD directly.
Dexterous (L5) posted Jan 17, 2014
That's a good one praveensapkota. When I need to contact a mod, I just shoot in the dark or sometimes I'll look at recent deals to see if a mod commented on it, that way I know which mod is available.

Another one, third:
If possible, add a separate box if a person wants to make Roundups deals. Eg, if we add HTML link syntax then it will be best for making Roundups and posting deals in better way.
Keep (another space for describing deal)
If possible add bullets and bold too.
This way no one has to spend hours in typing that HTML link syntax and we can see super deals and a lot of roundups too.
The MM per deal is low in my opinion. People spends hours on finding and posting deals but still earn way too low. (previously, at least discussion or comment used to make MM and dealsplus was also like a community, since comment stopped making MM, many previous members has already left.) Adding comments will definitely increase people getting involved. I am not talking about wasteful comments like "good deal", "wow nice one" or "thanks" but may be some info, or previous purchase idea, what some person has faced and more like this. The deals that gets more comments gets more attention, and these definitely will be shared with friends and anyone who wanna pass along.
(if tabs in MM like List, Review, Blog doesn't add MM then remove that)
No one can spend like 10-15 hours a day in finding a great deal and posting. But we can make it better here.
So, if we can add roundups format, more deals can be posted in standard format. Also it will provide way less effort for MODS to edit the same deal, adding HTML syntax, making bold.
Bottom line: Smart findings/roundups, Better look, Standard site, Less work for MODS, More MM earnings for dealsplus users.

Keep < a href="url box " > Link text
Make them bold
Highlight space for putting CODES
Dexterous (L5) posted Jan 18, 2014
I would like to see the implementation of requiring EXPIRATION DATES for major department/clothing stores (such as Macy's, Kohl's, Victoria's Secret, et. al.) when posting a deal with a coupon code.
I've seen so many posted deals without the expiration date. I don't think this is fair to those that use and trust DP...it takes away the integrity of the DP site.
EzzyLovesToSave (L5) posted Jan 18, 2014
Do people really care about saving $.50 ? Put only great deals on the FP, and have the back page for all the penny sales.
g688923rmqkr (L0) posted Jan 18, 2014
I'd like to see MM earnings increased as well. A few months ago when MM was revamped and earning opportunities were taken away, my monthly earnings were cut substantially as I'm sure the changes affected many others as well.
blackfoot (L5) posted Jan 18, 2014
If heavy dupers won't be "punished," maybe there could be a reward for those who spend time searching before each post instead.. such as an (earning) incentive if one doesn't post any duplicate for the calendar month.
shimisi (L5) posted Jan 19, 2014
Proper posting, at MODs' discretion, could be another way to earn extra incentive (if raising the per-click amount is not feasible). There are several MMs who are good examples of this. Checking the shipping info or correct codes, adding links, etc. take time. This will hopefully discourage lazy posting. Quality over quantity.
shimisi (L5) posted Jan 19, 2014
I'd like to see a list with the number of shared coupons or deals for users to see where I stand, to see my ranking compared to everyone else :) You know, like "My Ranking Now: 342343, 10 Coupons-> Next Ranked, ThisUser 11 Coupons" ...stuff like that...:) I don't have a clear view of how it should look :)
alecupope (L5) posted Jan 20, 2014
I think we also need the ability to edit coupons like we can edit deals.
The way it is now, you have to comment on a coupon and hope a mod sees it and edits or you have to delete the coupon and start fresh and input everything all over again. It can be set up so only the original submitter is allowed to make the necessary edit to prevent problems, if any.

Quite a few suggestions have been made by members and I'm curious to know If any will be implemented and if so, when and will we be notified of pertinent changes made based on this thread?
blackfoot (L5) posted Jan 23, 2014
i think there be ability to edit coupons and also provide URL Page for the same coupon. so that user can directly see the main coupon.
appareldeals (L1) posted Jan 24, 2014
Please consider this new feature as I'm sure it'll be highly appreciated by many: Ability to link the clicks/credit of a Coupon CODE (posted by a MOD) to an MM, if and only if: it's for a store with disabled user-submitted coupons and the MM posted the code (as a Deal) first. There can even be an added protocol like MM has to flag their Deal post as "i-didn't-post-this-code-in-the-coupons-section-but-i-would-if-i-could" .. or something shorter :)
shimisi (L5) posted Jan 24, 2014
@praveensapkota What is the difference between the hot deals and and trending deals? I thought the trending deals tab was showing the deals that more people are clicking on? I don't remember a most clicked tab, where was that?
dddsss (L5) posted Jan 24, 2014
@dddsss Hot deals is the current front page which was voted by users or mods, trending deals is similar but once the hot deals piles up it goes to trending deals as it gains more plus.
I was wondering if we can add most clicked deal. This tab will ideally not like most plussed/saved deals but the deal which was clicked to see the deal(Clicked in See it) button. This used to be in DP long time ago.
Dexterous (L5) posted Jan 25, 2014
A way to edit coupons. Had to delete a coupon twice... Would be a lot easier to have this option.
zoneric (L5) posted Jan 29, 2014
I always thought that there should some sort of limit on how long a deal stays up on the page. I feel like if someone doesn't put and expiration date on deal it should be marked as expired after a certain time something like 30, 60 or 90 days.
