Does anyone do this? I recently posted a deal and it was duplicated four times. I am almost certain it comes up in the search and at the TOP of the search at that.  Listen folks if the deal you are about to post is a freebie or some kind of popular deal/freebie/giveaway from a national chain, supermarket, retail store etc. etc it is most likely seen by many of us, how about taking a few minutes to search first as it is most likely already posted here. If you don't see it AFTER your search then a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to you as you were the first one to post it. Let's take some personal responsibility here at DP.

Good that you mention this because lately there is been so many duplicates. It was mention before in another post that the best way to search before posting is by store name first then the product name or sale.

I can sit and find 20 duplicates in less 5 minutes lol...I actually wrote moderators and suggested them to remove the $.25 paid if it was a duplicate and people might start searching prior to posting a deal :)

Idk I feel like if it's a hot deal and you take to long searching someone will post it as you search but if I see after that it's a duplicate I expire my deal and flag it

@nimase85 Too bad all users did not do what you do. You may do the right thing and expire if you realize you have duplicated but the majority don't and that is unfortunate and a huge reason why there are so many ugly arguments here. Just do the right thing, look quickly and if you see nothing post it is how I roll here. Realistically, the super hot deals/freebies are usually posted by the same few users so I usually do a quick general search and then search those few select users if I see nothing I post it, but like I said the great deals are usually found somehow by a few users hours before the rest of us..Not sure how but..it is what it is, I am grateful for those awesome freebies and deals however so I just try to grin and bear everything just like I do in my life. IDK. Just my opinion.

I do find it very difficult to understand when people duplicate over and over a deal on the front page. Did they not see it? I always browse the front page, how does one miss it? JMO again :--)
