a. Don't be offended by my initial reply to your address email. Just being honest. :P
b. I like something like this
c. I also like things from fab.com because things on that site are typically very interesting and useful at the same time.
d. Your Secret Santa wants to know what kind of S3 accessories you already have and what kind of items you'd want that have to do with your favorite sports teams.
At least if u decide to do it next year, you'll know who to exclude and who is reliable.
Then you might want to make some sort of "buy in" to sign up. Like send you $5 in Paypal (that will be refunded after their person gets their gift).
Or something like send you $1-2 that will be donated to charity. At least if you make some financial aspect to participate, maybe you'll exclude some of the people who really aren't serious.

Well so no one, thinks ill of any one I sent her an e-mail that asked if I could back out, I would have honored my obligation but things are getting a little tough on this end. And she worked it out. I just started to get my husbands medical bills in from his week long stay.
It wouldn't be too bad but these unexpected added bills came at the wrong time.
I am sorry and I hope it doesn't exclude me in the future. I have never backed out of anything before.

Sorry catchersmom, I totally forgot about the situation with your husband. Like I said in the email I sent you, I hope you enjoy your holidays even though it would've been nice (and easier lol) to have you in the Secret Santa.
Best of luck with the bills and let us know if you need help even though I know I could only contribute a little.
sorry Acidbaby. That was just a general comment...not directed at anyone. The thanks for working things out was directed at Arsiel actually since she spent lots of time on this. I just wanted to have a reason to send out more gifts and it's just $15-20 bucks so it's more a selfish feel good, in the spirit of the holidays, endeavor than anything else.
I think at the end of the day, it is really the gesture of doing a Secret Santa on an online community where everyone is anonymous and nearly impossible to accomplish in normal forums that counts rather than the receipt of the actual presents. Happy holidays you guys!
Hey Acidbaby, I'm assuming you got your first package today which means you know who's who. As for your second package, it's coming! But it's under your Secret Santa's name. It's sent to the wrong address but not to your name for some reason. Just an FYI.
Here's the tracking number for part two: 9101969004255045642402 (USPS)
I put it here instead of emailing it to you since you seem to check this more often @_@

Oof arsiel and bbtag, that's kind of harsh on the people that backed out--which includes me. I am understanding of the fact that this was an impromtu, first-time thing here and that's why the rules were not clear up front. When this was first mentioned the gifts were described as "something small" and after I signed on they were "a strict minimum of $15." My thinking was that we were going to send something thoughtful and nice that was more of a token than anything else.
Again, I understand that this took a lot of thought beyond when it was just mentioned. I would not have said I'd participate if I knew people would be giving gifts up to $25 in value when I'd be looking hard to score a deal on something worth at least $15. Don't want to get more than I receive, and I like you guys a lot :) A few months ago it would have been easy for me to spend up to $50 on a gift for you guys and I would have done it happily :), but my finances have changed. Glad it all worked out for those that could do it! (Sorry this is long, just wanted you to know I care.)

It was just frustrating since it was pretty late into the whole thing. If there wasn't a solution, it would mean someone who didn't send a gift would get one and consequently, someone who sent a gift wouldn't receive one. That was my main worry.
I'm just glad it worked out.
Just wanted to say thank you to my Secret Santa :) Got me a nice case and Samsung TecTiles for my Galaxy S3. Much appreciated because those tectiles are cool as hell but its something I probably would have not bought for myself because its not a neccessity so I was very happy to open that today. Thank you and thanks for taking the time to organize all this on such short notice.
