I am just wondering if anyone has ever heard of Swagbucks? I keep seeing it on the internet and have no clue what it is.

I heard it the first time here. I checked it. It seems is a method to make money.

"Swagbucks is a loyalty program where you can earn free stuff including 1,000's of products for doing the things you do everyday."

" is the web's premier rewards site. Powered by Prodege LLC, allows web users to earn virtual currency by doing the things they do every day - search the web, shopping at their favorite retailers, and by engaging in other activities such as phone recycling, submitting polls, and completing special offers. is the only place on the web to get what you want without ever having to spend a dime."

Maybe that helps...Personally, I am still confused...

I think its mainly something like if your a swagbucks member and buy stuff on certain websites that are affiliated you can earn points or rewards and then all the other stuff like phone recycling is in there, could be wrong but thats my guess

I've been using it as another search engine and been accumulating points to redeem for gift cards. You can earn more points by doing other things as mentioned by VirginiaPeanuts butI only use the search. I get enough points to redeem for 2 Amazon $5 GC a month. I've been a member for about 2 years now.

Like chuckydealpl, I have been a member of Swagbucks for several years - I mainly use it as a search engine to gain points towards getting Amazon Gift Cards - Over the years I have received about $200 worth - I get them in $5.00 increments (as they burn a hole in my pocket) - so I use them right away - but they help a lot with small purchases.

Hey everyone, I've been using Swagbucks for about 3 years now. Great site! I earn about $5-10 per month in Amazon gift certificates for participating. I wrote up a page on it here on Deals check it out (or don't if you don't like free money :P )!!

I used it about a year ago but unlike the others here I tried to get a Paypal certificate, fail. Never got it and there is no email or phone number to contact them. You fill out a form, which I did, no response, never got the paypal credit. I had almost enough Swag Bucks for another certificate, so last week I started opening my account dail, going under "Earn" then "Swagbucks TV" and clicking the videos to play on mute to earn 3 swag bucks a day. Yesterday I finally had enough to go for another paypal credit so we will see what I end up with!

If you're going to use this, I recommend running the videos, when you *finish* 10 you get 3 SB. Also, log into your account and search as if it was a regular search engine and you get random SB sometimes. Plus there is a site called Swagbucks Spoiler that tells you where to get codes, but I'm always too slow on the uptake. Good luck!

As promised, reporting back! I just got my $5 in Paypal credit deposited instantly in my account today. :)

Swagbucks work and is fine. The only problem with it is it takes FOREVER to get anything, and whatever you get its like practically nothing. If your down for 5-10 bucks amazon gift cards a month, do it. I recommend you stick to money makers :)

I try to use swagbucks spoiler too. I tried signing up for email of code locations (they're worth swagbucks) and it doesn't seem to be working but I checked the site and managed to get 8 sb today. I might try RSS feed for that.

iowahawkeyes is right, it takes forever. It helps to complete "offers" like watch x movie for x sb, but still. I just run the swagbucks TV @school when I will be on the computer anyways so it doesn't clutter my own computer or use up my own electricity (I'm sure you burn enough to at least the amount you would get back otherwise).
