lol :) I've gotten a thumbs down on a news post in the past AND it was only a 4 so someone obviously took time out of his or her (or it's) day to look it up on heating up in order to thumb it down. The plus vampire has indeed struck again but, hey, maybe it means your post will live forever ;)

well, the thing with thumbs down is that everyone has its own opinion. many people like what other write, but they don't thumb up. if everyone would do that, it wouldn't matter a thumb down. but if he is the only one that clicks the thumbs down, the article looks like it's no good, even if it's very good. (my opinion)

ancgavs, yes, that appears to be happening. No one knows why.
Sometimes it just appears to be someone who thinks it's funny to do it, or maybe they have a vendetta, but other times I think people just have a different interpretaion of when a negative should be used. Like in VirginiaPeanuts example with her news story... Possibly the person didn't agree or like the news story??? Maybe it wasn't because the story was posted but the content that the person didn't like?
I don't know; I don't think negatives should even be allowed in this Ask& Share section. Only positives, and a "Report Spam Button". There's no need to feel bad when you post here or feel like you asked a dumb question.
