To be completely honest I thought Sears was going out of business like 5 years ago. It seems like they're just dragging it out and putting off the inevitable. It would be pretty sad though since they've been around so long. Maybe all the articles about them going bankrupt will make people more interested in shopping there again?

I do agree @ammuller that this seems to have been inevitable for Sears. Hopefully they manage to keep a few stores open, but only time will tell.

I'm pretty sad to hear about this. We always bought from Sears growing up, especially around Christmas time.
