Thumbs Up and Down

4 0
Is there a way to find who thumb'ed up or thumb'ed down the deals? Also, why does one have to loose reputation just because someone didn't like the deal that was posted. I ask this question because i see people how have thumbed up the same deal....
Just my thought...
Shouldn't we have something like this?
All thumbs down and no thumbs up should gain you a negative reputation while even a single thumbs up should save your reputation score!!

Spam deserves 3 thumb down, rest thumbs up. Well, i don't think there is any way to find this.

There is no way for users of DP to know who thumbed up or down deals & comments, unless the person who did it claims responsibility in a message or comment.

I'm not sure I follow the rest of your question.

@ Maven3..The second part of the question was just my thought.

I was saying a genuine user should not be loosing his reputation due to thumbs down. Only a spam should damage the rep score.

There should be a way. If I ever do thumb down a deal, I state a reason I had done so. I never thumb down and run.

@tanush6; I understand you now.

I think the rationale has more to do with giving further control to users for what they want to see on the FP.

Before the heating up section was created on DP, it used to be that you only had a 'fresh' section. So the way I see it, the increased visibility of the 'heating up' section makes up for any negatives you may receive while your deal is on the 'heating up' page, as that is the only place on the site that your deal can receive a thumbs down.

In the end, it will all balance out. If your deals are good, the plusses will outdo the negatives.
