If you can really afford it...you should get a Mac, those are the best systems. If not...personally I'm a HP fan :D -- I have a HP laptop right now and it doesn't overheat, it doesn't stall -- it doesn't anything bad :) (and i keep it running 3 days at a time)
For about 2 months in -- and I use it constantly. I also use a cooler -- medium quality but id does the job.
I have a Toshiba and I love it. I've had no issues with it at all. I would rate them Toshiba, then Mac, then HP

I have owned an HP TX2525nr for about 2 years now, and i finally made the switch to a Macbook Pro 13, i have to say probably the best decision. Yes, the price of the Macbook Pro is a bit high, but you get a unibody aluminum enclosure, not some plastic. A huge multitouch trackpad. An astonishing screen, just overall an awesome machine. Apple MacBooks and MacBooks Pros have the best user reviews, and they maintain their resale value as well; just something to take into account.

buzzdogear777, you can't possibly put a Toshiba before a Mac :O
I like HP better than Toshiba, but if I could, I would get a MAC.:) I've owned both a HP and Toshiba laptop.
Hope that helped!

Toshiba by far...Macs are so expensive. Out of all the PC laptop brands, Toshiba wins hands down in my opinion.
