Updating a deal doesn't update it.

Hi,

In the past few days I've noticed that when I try to update/edit a deal nothing seems to happen. I thought maybe there was also a delay in the editing but in the past it use to change immediately. Now I'm still looking at this deal I edited, it's been 15 minutes and no update has occurred on it but the top of the page says I edited it 15 minutes ago.

As another example, a deal a number of hours ago was shown to have been updated by me from fry.com but then another poster updated the deal again over me and the new edits stayed.

I hope this question makes sense and I hope there is just a simple reason why I am not seeing it.

Thanks

The reason I posted in the ask section was also to see if anyone else had noticed this as well for them.

There are times, especially if you are new here, that the mods take their time in reviewing the update to see if it's a valid update or not. Give it some time.

Also, when you update a deal- doesn't mean you get the credit for it, it automatically still goes to the one who originally posted the deal. FYI

it can take up to one hour for a new user's edit to be approved. also, if you attempt to edit a front-paged deal, it will also have to be approved, and can take up to an hour.

@cid681 do you have an example of a deal you were trying to edit?

https://www.dealsplus.com/Health-and-Beauty-Supplies_deals/p_buy-one-get-one-for
as one example. I've tried a few a the early hours of the morning and those didn't take but then other people have updated it over me so I can't tell if it ever changed because of my update :-(

I thought in updating a deal, you and the original poster benefit?

But it it seems the updated person has no benefits.

@Acarone also this link: https://www.dealsplus.com/Games_deals/p_sleeping-dogs-ps3-xbox360

The deal is over, but for some reason the page remains empty of price or info. I even tried to update it and nothing happened.

@cid681 the last link you posted is empty because its a duplicate never ignore that pink box that tells you its a duplicate you can edit if there is a price drop

@rd995 So it's still considered a dup even though I'd posted about the new price on two different systems in one post? Hmm, I apologize then, I'll make sure to avoid that in the future.
