Updating Freebies

8 0
Hello!  Mods and non-mods, please chime in. I think I've learned what constitutes a valid Deal Update, but I'm still unclear on Freebies. (I have just updated Brentheriot's Armani Code Sport Freebie Deal.)

I choose to Update Freebie deals that are 1 year old or so and are either A. Still active or B. Just became active again.

  1. Is that wrong? Should they be left as is?

  2. I've noticed that updating Freebies does not "refresh" the deal-- It doesn't show up as Fresh, so it doesn't appear on top of the Freebies page. Doesn't that mean people won't see it (unless they did a search for the item/deal)?
2a. Maybe this is why people Submit the same Freebie and Continue Anyway (which is what I also just did). It said it was a Duplicate and will be checked. I did this because I've noticed that there are many Duplicate Freebies on here; and if Brentheriot's updated deal is not showing up, then somebody else will probably post it as a new deal, no?

  3. Is that how it works?
  Thank you.

I've got pretty much the same question. I updated this deal about free admission to national parks for Earth week an hour ago but the score still remains and doesn't refresh at all. Not sure if I should resubmit and hit "continue anyway"

When I update an older deal I FLAG it as Available Again.Usually the Mods get to it pretty quick and it appears on the Fresh list.

Thanks. I'll try that next time.
