I go to the Lindt store and purchase a bunch of truffles and then usually get some snickers, milky way, and twix. Just because we're adults doesn't me we don't enjoy candy :) Oh and I usually put some gifts like Scarfs, gloves, and gift cards.

My kids favorites are the free babysitting card for a night out after Christmas and a gift card for dinner.

CD's, $5 gift cards, DVD's or Blu-Ray, PEZ candy with dispenser, Lifesaver candy book, pocket knife, small See's candy box and or suckers, a box of Mallowmars, and a great big candy cane. These are the things my hubby and son's like. How about a key to a brand new car that's out in the driveway, with a big bow on the roof (getting a little 'dreamy' here!)

their favorite candies, a candy cane (of course) but it can be a plastic one with M&Ms if you like. We also like to do fruit and nuts, little humorous presents, lighters for the griller or smoker, small jewelry, key chains, small accessories for computers or phones, ammo for the hunter, logic puzzles, sudoku or crossword puzzles, super socks (wool for the outdoorsman, softening for the ladies)

Smoked oysters, Baby Bel cheese, summer sausage, gourmet mustard & hot sauce - have some crackers on hand & you'll have your football watching snacks!

Movie tickets or gift cards to the movies. Because honestly, we doesn't enjoy a good night out with movies?

I think CD's are nice, or if they have ipod's you can do download gift cards. Chocolate truffles and candy are great too (as others mentioned. Also, ornaments that are personal or that have to do with the person that is getting them.

I think getting small practical gifts helps fill a stocking quickly. For a woman, maybe some moisturizer or lip gloss and for a man something like cologne. Mixing practical gifts with fun ones can help if you're stuck and need a few extra things to fill the stocking up!
