The breakdown on posting, updating etc can be found here "How do I make money by posting and updating deals and coupons?":

Once a deal is edited (and the edit is a valid improvement on the deal), both the original poster and the editor share "Update" credit. Credit is always shared by the two most recent (valid) editors or poster.
But remember: just because you edit a deal and your picture is on the deal as editing, it does not necessarily mean you are receiving update credit. It has to be a valid update, with value added to the deal (price drop, extra coupons, bonus items, etc.).

Thanks glwkrs for that link..I have been looking for that link with all the details for a while now but just kept getting lost on the website :)
Thanks Acarone for the explanation. It makes sense to me now... because I didn't know before what was happening to the original poster of the deal when I was updating the deal.Seems like from your explanation that we both get the update credit which seems much more logical to me. :)
You're welcome, Florida2Texas ;)
I recently went through a bunch of the FAQ type links here. I had an idea for a friend with computer literate, but elderly Mom. Maybe using DP as a way to keep in touch at a distance. Thinking if her Mom pluss'd or commented a time would be registered & she'd know that she was up & about. IDK... "Words With Friends" is sorta filling that purpose, of knowing she's OK, but I think she'd enjoy the site:)

@ Acidbaby - I am not sure what other do but I actually make an attempt to browse through the clearance and sale section on a lot of websites to find a deal to post here. It can also be put the other way around where the deal was first posted here and then the other sites stole it? I guess its just how you look at it!
@ Acidbaby...Even though I have to agree with you on the getting deals from other deal sites (SD). However, I'm pretty sure that the people there also go to other deal sites to look for deals to post on there. I've actually seen a few deals that was posted on dp first and got fp on other deal site like SD. It goes both ways in my opinion.

Skyline it does happen im sure. Id be willing to bet the ratio of deals swiped from say SD to here and vice versa is probably 1500:1 and theres no way you can disagree with that. The two top submitters here thats all they do. And whats worse is they just copy it all word for word, doesnt matter if its a good deal, bad deal. They just take em and submit them so they can beef up their MM. All you need to do is click on fresh deals and continue to watch a site like SD and how 5 seconds after a deal is posted there is shows up here. Yes not everyone does it, i know lots of people do like Florida does. It just pisses me off because this place is just flooded with junk submissions that are terrible deals.

@ Acidbaby..I guess you are right..I will have to agree on that with you because sometimes it does surprise me how one user submits 4 deals a minute...obviously if you are searching for deals.. you would be slower but I guess if the mods on this website are okay with this..you can't really do much about it, right?!
@ Catchersmom....are you enrolled in the Money Maker program? You only start making money if you are enrolled in that program. From your reputation and the number of deals you have posted so far...I am very surprise to know that you have yet to make any money..
