The Chinese do a good job with fakes. In some cases they are really very, very good. I am a ham radio operator and they make portable radios for $50 that would cost $300+ here in the States. They give them different names and a different case but all of the tech was clearly stolen.

Yeah, $400 isn't low enough to make me settle with a fake

I already have a legit Japanese iPhone why would I want a piece of lesser technology when we all know Japan is much more superior at electronics than anywhere else.

i have ever bought a fake iPhone 4s a month ago, but it's damaged after two weeks i bought, and its functions are really disappointed very much... i have to say, i bought it because i don't know it's so fake. and now, i know ,so i won't buy it again! IMO, i prefer to spend a little more to buy a genuine iPhone 4s. Besides, i headed that iPhone 5 will be released at Oct. of this year, is it true?

There are people that ruin our conversations from Ask&Share. We talk about one thing, and they post something that has nothing to do it, like wsnpao (previous answer) and there are many posts were I saw the same thing. It's annoying! Can someone do something about it ?
ancagavs (rep: 18.4k) posted Jun 13, 2012
I wouldn't buy a fake iPhone. For that kind of $, its not worth it if something goes wrong. If you're going to spend that much $, spend the extra and get it with the warranty and support.

Fake iPhones !!?? I never knew there was such a thing!! Wow that's a no no.
gangstabarbie (rep: 21k) posted Jun 13, 2012
The fake iphones don't run iOS. That means that it would be completely incompatible with the apple ecosystem. Additionally, because there are no quality control for these ripoff companies, you'll end up with a $400 paper weight after a month or so...if you're lucky.
You're better off just buying a used one on Ebay for the same price.
audiocracy (rep: 826) posted Jun 13, 2012
No. Part of the price you pay is for R&D for the next generation of what ever, You are screwing your self in the long run if you buy the fakes. Not to mention does your phone have built in spy or mal ware? Who do you go to when you have a problem? They come with out warrentys or or service.
And now for the tenchial side what about copy right and patten issues. You are basicly paying for and using stolen intulectual property rights. Which is legal no where you are in the world. You are giving away American Pay checks too.
skaro964 (rep: 24.6k) posted Jun 13, 2012
you can get a real one on craigslist for that price... or even less.
tekman2500 (rep: 1.4k) posted Jun 13, 2012
Can I get a real one from craigslist for that price.??? really ?
mysocu (rep: 353) posted Jun 13, 2012
Buying a fake product takes away from the owner's idea. And diminishes the value of the real one.
MdavidK30 (rep: 3.7k) posted Jun 14, 2012
Absolutely not. The actual cost of materials in the iphone will show you that they are not making huge profit margins. They make their money from the cell phone providers. Not to mention you will not have a warranty and the phone is made to LOOK like an iphone not actually be like an iphone. They just want your money. Thats all
