Your Suggestion Needed: Return or Send to check?

Recently I bought 55-300 mm lens from 1saleaday, received yesterday but packaging was horrible. Anyways, i took that lens and tried to fit in my DSLR, the lens fails to auto focus. All the settings are correct but makes a irritating sound to focus. It was New, not refurbished too.

So I want your all suggestions. Whether to return back to 1saleaday or to send it to NIkon for free checkup?

Both ways I think I have to pay shipping. 

I am so sad today with 1saleaday. :(

Send it back you should get a new one maybe you got a defective one it happens

Contact 1saleaday before you do anything, they might have specific procedures you need to follow to get your guarantee. :)

Contact 1saleaday. They sent you a defective product so they should stand behind it and pay for you to send it back. If they wont, dispute it with your credit card company.

Yes sorry I meant to send it back 1saleaday if you send it to nikon they will probably fix it buy you paid for a new item you should get a new item not a repaired one

1saleaday is definitely at fault. Contact them first before you send it. Let them know its defective and they will either credit you back what you paid or pay for you to ship it back to them.
