If you're not using Instagram, get with the times! This social media photo sharing app has become huge among milennials and even some baby boomers. Check out these interesting details about one of the biggest things to happen to social media!

1. Instagram allows a maximum of 30 hashtags per publication.

If you love #hashtags, you may need to chill out. Trying to get those likes via the tags search function? You still can, you're just limited to 30.

2. Instagram is the fastest growing social media platform.

The Pew Research Center surveyed online adults who use social media websites and found that between 2012 and 2014, Instagram experienced a 100% increase in followers (13% to 26%), while Twitter followed loosely behind with a 43.8% increase (16% to 23%).

3. You can now switch between multiple accounts on Instagram.

After many, many requests, some lucky Instagram users (I'm one of them!) can experience the beautiful ease of switching between accounts. It seems like they're slowly incorporating this option for iOS and Android users. Between my personal account, the DealsPlus Blog, and Fashion Stash, I can now add the accounts and seamlessly switch among them. Let me tell you, I was getting real tired of always having to log in and out and occasionally posting on the wrong account. Glad that's over!

4. Repost and print your Instagram pictures

Love a picture so much you want to share it with everyone you know (or at least everyone that follows you)? Try Regram. It's basically another form of Instagram, but you have a new button: Repost. Once you hit repost, it'll redirect you to Instagram, where you can share to your heart's desire. To print your Instagram photos (cause you're an awesome photographer and your photos are frame-worthy), try Social Print Studio or PostalPix.

5. Instagram is home to many sexual bots.

Okay, this is not the best fact, but it's informative and important. Instagram is one of the most successful platforms for porn and cam websites to capture new users. Fake profiles, also known as bots, comment, like, and follow male users. Be careful!

6. Who has the most followers on Instagram?

This may or may not come as a surprise to you depending on how up-to-date you are with celebrity gossip, but Mrs. Kim Kardashian West dominates the Instagram world with 59.5 million followers. Beyoncé is a close second with 58.7 million followers.

7. The most geotagged place on Instagram is a place of flashing neon lights, an ocean of yellow cabs, and dramatic Broadway shows.

Just in the month of December 2015, Times Square in New York attracted 11.8 million pedestrians. It definitely serves as a great backdrop for the perfect Instagram shot. Can you guess which location was the second most-tagged destination in 2015? It's Paris' iconic Eiffel Tower.

8. The average Instagram user is a female African American teenager in America.

As of September 2015, Instagram attracted 400 million active monthly users, and 53% of those users were between the ages of 18 and 29 (and probably some younger than 18) and 29% were women.

9. The most popular Instagram hashtag of 2015 will make you smile or gag.

Can you guess? It's the focus of an upcoming holiday. Hearts. Flowers. Chocolate. Heart-shaped everything. The most popular hashtag last year was #love. It has been used over 82 million times on the app!

10. More Instagram users follow National Geographic than any other brand.

With 43 million followers, @natgeo documents realities across the globe, animals in their natural habitat, and nature's most beautiful phenomenons, and it has become the most popular brand on Instagram.
