Amazon’s Prime membership just got a lot better. The giant marketplace retailer just launched Amazon Instant Pickup which is available exclusively for Prime and Prime Student. Hundreds of items are specially curated in the Instant Pickup collection which consists of essentials that you can pick up in 2 minutes or less. These essential items include snacks, drinks, electronics, and of course, Amazon devices.
Currently, Amazon Instant Pickup is only available at five locations: Los Angeles, Atlanta, Berkeley & Westwood (California), Columbus (Ohio), and College Park (Maryland). The idea behind Instant Pickup, according to Director of Student Programs of Amazon, Ripley MacDonald, “Instant Pickup is another way Amazon is making life more convenient for Prime members...As shopping behaviors continue to evolve, customers consistently tell us that they want items even faster. Whether it’s a snack on-the-go, replacing a lost phone charger in the middle of a hectic day or adding Alexa to your life with an Echo, Instant Pickup saves Prime members time. While Instant Pickup is available at select pickup locations today, we’re excited about bringing this experience to more customers soon.”
Amazon Instant Pickup collection can only be purchased via the Amazon App. Once you have placed your order, you’ll also be able to tack on last-minute items and still be able to pick everything up at a nearby Amazon self-service locker within 2 minutes or less. So if you’re in a rush to stock up on some essentials, no need to wait for 2-day shipping, you can pick up in 2 minutes or less if you live in one of these 5 Instant Pickup locations. Although locations are limited at the moment, Amazon is working on expanding their Instant Pickup locations in the next few months so stay tuned for an Instant Pickup location near you!
